Typhoon Soulik made her way to the island of Taiwan this Saturday, ravaging the North with high-force winds and torrential downpours.
As responsible adults, Dom and I made preparations for the storm by purchasing batteries (which I was told by my boss are pointless because Taiwan’s power NEVER goes out), food, and wine, in the case that we were confined to the apartment for the weekend.
Soulik, however, had other plans. She must not care too much for Kaohsiung, because she didn’t even bother to stop and say hello.
All we got were some winds from the tail end of her raincoat.
